Now in its 7th year, Buy Yorkshire already has over 20 speakers lined up, 185 exhibition stands and more than four thousand registered delegates. If you want to get some business done, there’s no place you’d rather be; with £500bn of turnover represented at the event and an 87% purchase decision maker delegate profile, it’s no surprise that Buy Yorkshire has had an economic impact of £48 million. As you can see, there’s a reason Buy Yorkshire has established itself as the biggest B2B event in the North.
If you’ve signed up to this year’s conference (if you haven’t then what are you waiting for?!) then you’ll probably want to know some of the things to look out for. So, here’s what we’re most looking forward to at Buy Yorkshire 2017.
Our MD, Jonny Ross, is one of this year’s speakers, with ‘Using digital to drive organisational growth and change’. If you’re investing in digital, this talk will help you understand where you should be focusing your time and energy to achieve your business goals.

Buy Yorkshire have had some truly amazing speakers over the years, but we think 2017’s line-up is one of the best yet! And one of the talks we’re most looking forward to is from LEGO Group’s Global Director of Brand Development, Sara Riis-Carstensen – ‘Building the LEGO brand. Brick by brick.’
The Billion Pound Panel
Run in the style of BBC’s Question Time, ‘The Billion Pound Panel’ was easily one of last year’s highlights. And with the likes of Gordon Black, Chairman of Black Family Investments, Margaret Casely-Hayford, Chair of ActionAid, and Johnny Caddick, Managing Director of Caddick Group, amongst the line-up this year, it definitely won’t disappoint!
We saw Ajaz speaking at ‘Opportunity Knocks’ back in July, at Leeds Town Hall. Best known for being the founder of Freeserve, once the UK’s largest ISP, Ajaz’s unique style of speaking is certain to catch your attention. In fact, his inspirational talks, also known as ‘Cut the cr*p’, have been described as “a talk with wisdom that people remember after they’ve left the room”. Believe us when we say you won’t want to miss this. He’s also featuring on the ‘Billion Pound Panel’.
In 2012, Maz was named by Forbes as one of the world’s Top 50 Social Media Power Influencers. Maz will be speaking about ‘Employee amplification through social media’, and we can’t wait to see what he has to say!
With over 185 exhibition stands, there are some really exciting exhibitors at Buy Yorkshire this year.
